How to make money with Lino

Lino is Free Software, but most people nowadays understand the difference between free beer and free speech. Here is how you can make money with Lino.

As an independent developer you can write and then maintain your own Lino application for a customer. You are a development provider and your customer(s) pay(s) you for that service.

As an inhouse developer you write a Lino application for your employer. Simply replace "customer" by "employer" in the previous paragraph.

You may optionally make more money by also hosting one or several production sites of your application. This is a separate art, see Hosting Guide.

When you start earning enough money, you may want to enter into a more binding collaboration with the About our name, but nothing will ever force you to do so because both source code and documentation is freely available.
